Unlike many other similar battle droids of that era, OHK99 did not have cannons mounted in its main manipulators - instead, it had two-fingered hands that could be used in close combat to deliver devastating blows. A multi-purpose turret was mounted on its back, which allowed the installation of various weapons, including additional repeating blaster cannons, grenade launchers or microfusion-rocket missile launchers. Droid's slim-frame legs arcticulation was designed to minimize overall weight. The OHK99 head had a wide range of video sensors designed to scan objects in various spectral ranges. The design of the droid allowed the installation of a wide range of additional weapons, including a head laser, auxiliary combat systems and protective shields.
